I Love To Paint For Children

March 14, 2014

The very first thing we do for a new baby is to decorate a room for them celebrating their imminent arrival by picking out the furniture, decorations, baby artwork, themes, and colors.

I have been working on my line of art for kids—both nursery art and children’s art–for a long time already and plan to add to it for years to come. I have lots more ideas to paint.

I really enjoy the process of developing the children’s art. There are so, so many great children’s and nursery themes to explore…transportation (Tractors, Planes, Trains), safari animals (Tigers,Elephants, Giraffes), Mother Goose (Humpty Dumpty and Baa Baa Black Sheep), sports (football, soccer, baseball), sea creatures (Fish, Turtles, Mermaids)…

It is just plain fun to work with all of the themes and designs and color stories.

But, here’s the thing I love best about working on Nursery and Children’s art Better than all of the above, is knowing that my artwork makes it’s way to a boy’s or girl’s wall somewhere and becomes a part of their young lives. Now that is certainly a great privilege.
