Deborah Cavenaugh was honored as the “Artist of the Year” by The Carousel Center as part of the making legends local event. The Carousel Center is a group committed to providing a child friendly environment to meet the needs of the abused and neglected and to supporting child abuse prevention efforts in North Carolina, an issue close to Deborah's Heart. She created and donated a piece of original art, "one kind word, one kind deed can change the entire world" for the center to auction off as a Fund Raiser as well as 100 prints for them to sell.
