The only thing more homey than clean clothes on the line is a quilt on the line. When I was a child, I must have hung a thousand baskets of clothes out to dry. Even after we had a dryer, my family preferred the line dried clothes. At a very young age, I learned to appreciate the glorious feel and aroma of sheets coming off of the line after a day in the sun. There is still magic in that memory.
