I`m Living In My Own Dream, a truth, whatever it is your life, even if you don't like it, you're the one that dreamt it up, and you're the one that got yourself in it, you are living in your dream all the time, and I think that this painting, which is a wonderful little painting, whatever it is your set free in life, whatever it looks like, whatever is happening, whatever you don't have that you wish you had, you are living in your own dream, it's your life, you dreamt it up. I think this is a really wonderful little painting and what inspired this particular boat was a documentary I watched about the last nomadic boats people, out of Thailand,m they have no passport, they have no passports, they were all born at sea, and they live in this long, slim boats with fancy little roofs on them, and their whole life takes place on the boat, they only come to land to sell their fish, or to fuel their boats, so I started thinking about that, a life lived out on the sea in a boat and what that would look like and be like, and I love the little girl who is slung in her hammock and the boy with his dog on the peak of the boat, the boy is looking ahead, but the dog is looking at the birds flying overhead, I think this is a really successful painting, and I love the turtles in it and the shape of the boat, and the colors of the boat, and it would be a lovely dream to live in.
